SwipeSit Policies
Please read these terms carefully before using SwipeSit.

Platform Purpose
SwipeSit is a connection and matching platform that helps parents and pet owners connect with sitters. When two users mutually swipe right, they are matched and can communicate directly through SwipeSit.
SwipeSit does not:
• Employ sitters.
• Provide childcare or pet care services.
• Supervise, monitor, or control sitter services.
• Guarantee the suitability, reliability, qualifications, trustworthiness, or performance of any user.
Account Email Policy
Your email address is permanently linked to your SwipeSit account and cannot be changed. If you need to use a different email address, you must close your existing SwipeSit account and create a new account using the new email address.
One Account Per PersonOnly one SwipeSit account is allowed per person.
Membership
SwipeSit membership plans provide users with access to features and benefits based on the membership plan selected. Membership details, features, pricing, and availability may vary depending on the plan.
Membership payments are automatically charged based on the selected membership plan until the user cancels the membership. Users are responsible for canceling their membership before the next billing date to prevent future charges.
Membership fees are non-refundable. No refunds, credits, or partial refunds will be provided for unused membership time, unused features, or failure to cancel before the next billing cycle.
Users may cancel their membership at any time through their account settings. After cancellation, membership benefits will remain available until the end of the current paid billing period. The membership will not renew after cancellation.
Deleting a SwipeSit account will also cancel any active membership associated with that account. If an account is deleted, membership access will end immediately, and any remaining membership time or unused benefits will not be refunded.
SwipeSit may end membership access immediately if an account is suspended or terminated due to violations of SwipeSit's Terms of Use or platform policies.
Memberships are tied to the individual account holder and cannot be transferred, shared, or used by another person.
SwipeSit may update membership plans, features, pricing, or available benefits in the future. Continued use of membership features after updates means the user accepts the updated membership terms.
Users must use membership features in accordance with SwipeSit's Terms of Use and platform policies.
Independent Users
Sitters are independent service providers and are not employees, contractors, agents, or representatives of SwipeSit.
All decisions, agreements, communications, scheduling, and services are made directly between parents, pet owners, and sitters.
Payments
SwipeSit does not process, collect, hold, or manage payments between users.
Parents, pet owners, and sitters are solely responsible for:
• Agreeing on service fees.
• Choosing payment methods.
• Completing payment transactions.
Sitters may list preferred payment methods, such as PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, or bank transfer, for convenience only.
SwipeSit is not responsible for payment processing, failed transactions, refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or payment disputes between users.
Background Checks
To help parents make informed decisions, SwipeSit may provide access or referral links to an independent third-party background check provider.
Background checks:
• Are requested by the parent after a match.
• Require the sitter's consent before being performed.
• Are conducted entirely by the third-party provider.
• Are entirely optional. Parents may choose to proceed with a sitter without completing a background check; however, this is done entirely at their own discretion and responsibility.
If a background check request is declined or not completed, it is up to the parent to decide whether to continue communication with the sitter or to unmatch. SwipeSit is a connection and match platform only and does not make hiring decisions or guarantee background check results.
SwipeSit is not responsible for any outcomes, damages, or issues arising from interactions between users, including those where a background check was not completed.
By signing up and using SwipeSit, users acknowledge and agree that background checks are optional and that SwipeSit is not liable for any decisions made between parents, pet owners, and sitters.
SwipeSit does not:
• Conduct background checks.
• Verify the accuracy or completeness of background check results.
• Process or collect payment for background checks.
• Control the background check process.
• Handle billing, refunds, disputes, or customer support related to background checks.
All background check services, payments, billing, refunds, disputes, and customer support are the sole responsibility of the third-party background check provider.
User Responsibilities
All users are responsible for:
• Providing accurate information.
• Communicating honestly and respectfully.
• Following all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Exercising good judgment when interacting with others.
In addition:
• Parents and pet owners are responsible for selecting the sitter they choose.
• Sitters are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services they provide.
• Users are responsible for conducting their own evaluation before hiring or accepting services.
Safety
For everyone's safety, users should:
• Meet and communicate responsibly.
• Verify information before hiring or accepting work.
• Report suspicious, fraudulent, or inappropriate behavior through SwipeSit.
SwipeSit may suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms or engages in unsafe, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwipeSit is not responsible or liable for:
• The actions, conduct, omissions, or behavior of any user.
• Childcare or pet care services provided by sitters.
• Injuries, damages, losses, or claims resulting from interactions between users.
• The quality, reliability, availability, or outcome of any services.
• Payment transactions, fraud, refunds, chargebacks, or disputes between users.
• Third-party background check services, including their results, billing, payments, refunds, or disputes.
Your use of SwipeSit is entirely at your own risk.
Changes to These Terms
SwipeSit may update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted. Continued use of SwipeSit after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
